way to use third party soft fonts on your Deskjet or Deskjet Plus
with WS. The process is easy. Go to Library 5 and download the
file "DJFONT.ARC." This is a Laserjet to Deskjet font convert
program (need I say more?). Then go around the various forums on
CIS and download all of the Laserjet soft fonts you can find
(there are quite a bit out there). After you have downloaded all
of the fonts you want, the fun begins.

Go to your Wordstar directory and run the "LSRFONTS" program.
Follow the instructions on the screen and add the Laserjet fonts
to a custom database. After you have added all of the new
Laserjet fonts to the new database, exit the program and run the
"PRCHANGE" program and create a Laserjet II pdf. After creating
the Laserjet pdf, go through the menus and add the new fonts in
the new database to the pdf. After you are done there. you will
have completed the Wordstar end of the process.

Your next step is to use the "DJFONT" program and convert the
Laserjet fonts to Deskjet fonts (I use the same file name with a
".DJP" extension). These are the fonts that you will want to
        download to your Deskjet.

When working with a document, you will want to use the new
Laserjet pdf with the new fonts added to it. Because the
converted Deskjet fonts have the same attributes as their
Laserjet parents, all should work fine. Wordstar is happy, your
Deskjet is happy and you are happy because you now have the
flexibility you need to get the job done RIGHT.

        Have fun!
