Installing the JetFont 4 in 1 Cartridge in WS5

Computer Peripherals Inc. has developed a font cartridge containing four
"business" fonts in a HP-compatible cartridge: Courier 10, Courier 12, Prestige
Elite, and Letter Gothic. The company provides an installation program which
covers Microsoft WORD, DisplayWrite 4, Multimate/Advantage, Wordstar 2000, and
WordPerfect. As Wordstar 5 allows a "semi-installation" of this remarkable
cartridge (everything except Courier 12 pitch), I've developed the following
method to take advantage of our "4-in-1":

1. Enter printer configuration via WINSTALL (initial installation of WS5) or
PRCHANGE (subsequent configurations).

2. Select "Install a Printer"

3. Select "Hewlett-Packard LaserJet Series II" (or Plus or LJ, depending on
your equipment).

4. Type a new PDF ... "HP4N1"

5. Select "Add or remove font groups"

6. Do you want to change fonts? "Y"

7. Select "Add cartridge fonts"

8. Move cursor to proper cartridge fonts and press <RET> to select "G" "H" and "N".

9. Press <F10> to save cartridges.

10. Select "Add soft fonts, delete fonts"
All fonts will be shown. Unfortunately, not all of them are actually on
the 4 in 1 cartridge, so we must delete several, as shown in the next step.

11. Move cursor to fonts to delete and press "-" (minus sign) to remove. This
MUST be done for the following fonts (in the order they appear on the screen).
Note that several fonts appear twice, as they represent different character sets
(USACII and Legal in this case):
     "Prestig 7/16.7" (USASCII)
     "Prestig 7/16.7" (Legal)
     "Line Drw 12/12"
     "Line Drw 12/10"
I have also deleted the Courier 12/10 USASCII and Prestige Elite 10/12 USASCII
fonts, as the legal set meets my needs and the usascii set is (for the most
part) duplicated.

12. Press <F10> to save fonts.

13. Select "Return to Previous Menu"

14. Select "Return to Main Menu"

15. Select "Quit and Save Changes"
