An online manual for Star Exchange is here:

https://www.wordstar.org/index.php/wordstar-for-windows/115-star-exchange-manual

Also, see the note below. The copy of SCCSETUP.DEF here in
C:\WS\CONVERT has had this change made, and so Star Exchange
run from here will convert to or from any format.

On the other hand, the copy of SCCSETUP.DEF in
C:\WS\DEFAULT\CONVERT has NOT had this change made, and so Star
Exchange run from there (or Star Exchange invoked from
C:\WS\PRISTINE.EXE) can only convert either to or from a
WordStar format.

Chuck:

To enhance the versatility of your copy of Star Exchange (WS7
version), try the following:

Open SCCSETUP.DEF (it's in your CONVERT subdirectory) as a
NONDOCUMENT. ^QA (Alt-E,R for the SAA folks), find all
occurrences of ",BA" (comma cap-B cap-A, no quotes) and replace
globally with ",UX" (comma cap-U cap-X, no quotes). Then ^KD
(Alt-F,C) the file.

Star Exchange will no longer require a WordStar as the source or
target format.
